Psychological First Aid (PFA) for COVID-19 e-learning module for Frontline and essential workers and volunteers
eHealth has launched an updated Psychological First Aid (PFA) for COVID-19 e-learning module, in partnership with NHS England, Health Education England, FutureLearn and E-Learning for Health.
The course is accessible through your eHealth account. Non-NHS and Non-Public Health England colleagues can access the course via FutureLearn
The course aims to increase awareness and confidence to provide psychosocial support to people affected by COVID-19. It takes around 90 minutes to complete and can be completed at your own pace in a number of sessions. To complete the module, visit eHealth. Once you have signed in, you can find the module by clicking on the link on the Homepage or through the 'My courses' page.
If you are using Google Chrome or Apple Safari to complete the module, you will need to enable your flash (by clicking on the padlock icon next to the address bar or from the Settings menu).
CARE App for adult social care workforce
Designed specifically for adult social care workers, offering portable access to guidance, learning resources, discounts and other support all in one place.
The CARE app provides a networking platform to bring social care colleagues together to share learning and best practice as well as a one-stop-shop for:
- latest guidance, wellbeing support and advice during COVID-19
- access to learning resources on crucial areas such as infection control
- practical advice and support for mental wellbeing including free access to Slivercloud, Daylight and Sleepio apps
- how to take advantage of offers available to NHS and social care staff, including free car parking, discounts and initiatives such as Discounts for Carers and the Blue Light Card
The app is available to anyone working in social care in England and can be downloaded on Apple and Android supported smartphones.

Gov.UK Coronavirus Information Service on WhatsApp
A free to use automated service providing official, trustworthy and timely information and advice about coronavirus (COVID-19). Helps to combat the spread of coronavirus misinformation and provides answers to the most common questions about coronavirus. Includes information on coronavirus prevention and symptoms, latest number of UK cases, advice on staying at home, travel advice and myth busting.
To use, add 07860 064422 in your phone contacts and then message the word ‘hi’ in a WhatsApp message to get started.
