Employers for Carers (EfC)

Employers for Carers (EfC) is a useful employer-led product aimed at HR/Line Managers and anyone with an interest in supporting carers.  EfC provides resources for all staff with a responsibility for, or interest in, supporting carers in the workforce.  It includes all-staff induction and line manager e-Learning modules, and practical guides and advice for managers and carers including case studies, model policies, FAQs and tools and tips.

As a member of Employers for Carers, Shropshire Telford & Wrekin STP  provides access for all staff to the EfC platform EfC Digital.The platform provides a range of online practical resources, tools and e-learning to hlp you support the carers in your workforce.

A questionnaire that helps you take stock of your current situation and identify where EfC can help you build on your current employee support to get the best results for carers. Digital Resource for Carers

Digital Resource for Carers is a useful carer-led product which can be shared organisation-wide.  Aimed at working carers, the Digital Resource for Carers is an online platform made for carers, by carers.  It includes e-Learning modules, factsheets, interactive guides, personalised support, and information covering the fllowing areas: Health & Wellbeing, Support for Caring, Technology & Caring, Financial Planning and Working & Skills.

Support material includes an  A4 poster  for use digitally or hard copy for staff,  double sided leaflet, promoting the care coordination app so carers in the workforce can download for free, an  A3 poster for use digitally or hard copy, and printable business cards 12 for staff.

Carers in the workforce can access the resource via carersdigital.org and using Unique Access Code DNHS9277

 

   

Unpaid Carers


A free online resource to support the vital care that unpaid carers provide 

Designed for anyone who provides care and support to a family member or friend due to their disability, health condition, frailty, mental health problem or oter health and care needs.

The e-LfH resource offers bespoke, bite-size e-learning sessions, developed with expert advice from Carers UK.  It includes online links and a downloadable resource guide, colour coded by topic, providing help on issues such as your rights to benefits.  You will also fiind specialised e-learning on topics such as dementia, mental health, physical disability, infection protection and end of life care.
