Workforce Development Funding for Apprenticeships

Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin’s Apprenticeship Working Group, which includes local NHS Trust, local Authority workforce leads and Shropshire Partners in Care (SPIC), hosted a virtual Apprenticeship Event on Tuesday 20^th October 2020 for local employers and training providers who support delivery of health and social care in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and are interested in funding to support workforce development. Shropshire and Telford Councils and NHS Trusts offer funding for apprenticeship training for new or existing employees within health and social care, recognising the valuable opportunity apprenticeships bring to developing and up-skilling our workforce. There are a wide range of clinical and non-clinical apprenticeships available up to degree level, including for example Nursing, Business & Administration and Leadership qualifications.
