GPN Champion

Shropshire Telford and Wrekin ICS acknowledge the positive impact General Practice Nurse Champions can have in driving forward innovative practice and new models of care.

The STP supported 2 programmes to provide training for 27 nurses to become digital nurse champions. These roles will continue to be valuable as we roll out training including remote triage and virtual group consultations.

Training Hub is exploring supporting champions for other work streams in the future and expanding champion roles to other Primary care Health Professionals.
