About the course
A series of non-medical prescribing updates open to Registered Healthcare Professionals working in Shropshire Telford and Wrekin (STW) general practices and hospital partners. These short, 2-hour updates cover a range of topics.
Course content
To date the updates have covered:
- New information/changes with prescribing. BNF and its functions
- Legal and ethical implications. Adverse Drug Reactions
- Prescribing in older people/frailty/children. Implications of renal and liver disease
- Deprescribing and reluctant prescribers/Returning to prescribing
- Antibiotic stewardship including UTIs. Update for assessment and learning in practice NMC SISSA
Entry requirements
Registered Health Care Professionals working in Primary Care or Shropshire Community Health Trust
