Meetings held in public

Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin Integrated Care System (ICS) Board will be holding its meetings in public so you can observe the decision-making process from October 2021. This means that members of the public can watch the meeting, but it is not an open forum for contributions from the floor, nor a meeting where citizens can bring agenda items.

How can I observe a board meeting? 

You'll be able to observe the virtual meeting live, via a link. A recording of the meeting will also be available after the meeting.

Please note that dates and times of meetings may change at short notice. If you are planning to observe the meeting, please check this website for confirmation of the time and date in the published agenda of the meeting.

Agenda and associated papers for all meetings will be published to this page at least five days before the meeting.

The ICS Board has adopted a paperless system so that we continue to ensure best use of resources and a commitment to promoting sustainable and environmentally friendly working practices. We will therefore not issue hard copies of the agenda and papers.  

Can I ask a question to the Board about items on the agenda? 

Yes, the ICS Board will accept questions from members of the public related to the agenda items for that meeting.

You can sumbit any questions by email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. We ask that you do this at least 48 hours prior to the ICS Board meeting by 12 noon on the Monday prior to the meeting.  

Questions received from the public should be pertinent to the commissioning of services for the local population of Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin:

• They should be relevant to the agenda of the next ICS Board meeting.
• If you have any pecuniary interest in the subject of the question, this should be declared.
• Complex questions or those which require particular research, or data retrieval or analysis, may be deferred, or dependent on the detail of the information required, may need to be submitted as a Freedom of Information (FOI) request.

The decision of the Chair of the ICS Board on whether to accept a question, and how it should be answered, is final. Grounds for not accepting public questions include, but are not limited to:

• It would prove too expensive or would take too much staff resource to deal with the question.
• The question would cause distress or is offensive.
• The question has previously been answered by the ICS in the last six months and placed in the public domain.
• The answer could prejudice a criminal investigation or commercial confidentiality.
• The answer relates to personal data, which if released would be contrary to the Data Protection Act.

The questions and answers will be sent to the individual asking the question and published on the ICS website two weeks following the meeting. The questions and answers will also be included in the papers for the next scheduled meeting.
