Career Pathway

Funding is provided by NHSE/I to our local system to assist with retaining GPs.

Training Hub Offers

The CCG/ICB is in the process of designing an approach for the 2022/23 financial year – further details will be announced shortly.

STW GP Champions

Two GP Champions have been recruited to provide support to specific cohorts of GPs:

Ethnically Diverse GP Champion Dr Muhammad Zeb This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..  Dr Zeb provides support to all GPs from ethnically diverse backgrounds, particularly IMGs on the STW VTS. He can advise on, among other things, Skilled Worker Visas

Newly-Qualified GP Locum Champion Dr Losa Shui This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .  Dr Shui provides support to GPs on all issues relating to working as a Locum. In particular she liaises with ST3s on the STW VTS who are considering working as a Locum. She can advise on, among other things, the Lantum digital staff platform.
